Decking installation involves several steps, including planning, preparing the site, installing the substructure, laying the decking boards, and finishing. Here is a general guide on how to install decking:

Before we start, decide on the decking material, style, and size you want. Consider the site's orientation, sun exposure, and any obstacles, such as trees or structures, that may affect the decking's layout.

Preparing the site, we clear the site of any debris, rocks, or vegetation. Ensure that the site is level, and measure the area to determine the amount of decking material you need.

Installing the substructure provides support for the decking and must be sturdy and level. Use pressure-treated lumber for the substructure, and install it according to local building codes.

Begin laying the decking boards at one end of the substructure, and work your way across. We use stainless steel or coated decking screws to attach the boards to the substructure, and leave a small gap between each board for water drainage.

Once the decking is complete, we're apply a sealant or stain to protect the wood from moisture and UV rays. Add any finishing touches, such as railings, stairs, or lighting, to complete the installation.
